The National Adult Literacy and Learning Disabilities Center The National ALLD Center promotes awareness about the relationship between adult literacy and learning disabilities, builds the capacity of literacy practitioners to help identify and serve adult students with suspected or diagnosed learning disabilities, and produces and refines materials that enhance the knowledge base for adult literacy and learning disabilities.
Learning Disabilities Association of America The Learning Disabilities Association of America is a national, non-profit organization. Our purpose is to advance the education and general welfare of children and adults of normal or potentially normal intelligence who manifest handicaps of a perceptual, conceptual, or coordinative nature. 
National Center for Learning Disabilities The National Center for Learning Disabilities is one of the foremost national not-for-profit organizations committed to improving the lives of those affected by learning disabilities.
Learning Disabilities Center The University of Georgia Learning Disabilities Center has been serving adolescents and adults with learning disabilities and ADHD since 1982.

British Dyslexia Association  The BDA is the national organisation for specific learning difficulties. It consists of over 120 Local Dyslexia Associations and Support Groups and about 60 Corporate Members. It represents over two million dyslexic children and adults.

Learning Disabilities & Literacy In March of 1998, the Gogebic County Community School Program(GCCSP here-after), was informally commissio0ned to research the providers of adult education services concerning the instruction of adult learning disabled(LD). The apparent increase in alternative high school programs further added to the concern of a vast array of learning differences among students that must be addressed daily by the practitioners (teachers, aides, tutors , mentors, etc.) in the State of Michigan.  Central Michigan University, through the State Literacy Resource Center, and as of October 1,1998, now known as the Michigan Adult and Learning Technology (M.A.L.T.) Center, formalized a contract with the GCCSP on May 1,1998, to conduct a professional development initiative to conduct a statewide survey of best practice, to identify that best practice and support it in statewide training.
