The first edition of this tutorial was produced by Thomas Eland using the following software: HoTMetaL PRO 2.0; HotDog 2.5.2; Paint Shop PRO; Color Manipulation Device; and Aldus Presentation software. The pages were produced on a Packard Bell Force 949CDT 120 MHz with 16 MB RAM using Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. The pages were tested using Netscape Navigator 2.0, Internet Explorer 2.O and Spry Mosaic 2.Oa.
Version 1.5 was produced with minor revisions by Tim Ponder for the 1996 Adult Literacy and Technology (ALT) conference.
The curent version is 2.0 and the tutorial is now being maintained by the Midwest LINCS Web Development Team, using a variety of software and platforms.
