Have you seen the 1998 Local Program Technology Projects from Ohio yet? This is just one of a number of Midwest LINCS Minigrants projects. You can also see Wisconsin's The Key which is a new reader's online newspaper and Minnesota's Internet Curriculum Development Project. Keep checking back here for more postings of other state minigrant projects. You can also check the Midwest LINCS Technology Local Program Projects page for updates.

Alexandria Adult Basic Education Internet Curriculum Development Project which has "developed 6 lesson plans which involve utilization of the Internet, specifically the World Wide Web to access information during cooperative group learning activities in a classroom setting. The curriculum revolves around topics that were identified by the learners as having importance and relevance to them. This project was especially appropriate since inquiry is one of the high standards in Minnesota's current graduation standards. Also, computer and information literacy skills are a current focus of many adult literacy programs." Alexandria Adult Basic Education (ABE) program is located in Minnesota.

* For the Common Good has a web site with much information. Check out their newest addition, Beyond Ourselves: Activities for Implementing Ohio's Indicators of Adult Basic and Literacy Education Program Quality. "For the Common Good is a statewide project with the goal of facilitating the formation of local interagency linkage teams throughout Ohio. These local teams focus on improving services to at-risk youth and adults through the development of collaborative interagency linkages."
