Write the omitted word in the proper column spelling the singular or plural. Rule: A singular noun ending in"y" (naming just one, such as city or lottery) is spelled in the plural (naming more than one) by changing the 'y" to "i" and adding "es." Examples: city - cities lottery- lotteries
