The Jefferson County Combined Adult Basic Literacy Education (A.B.L.E.) Project is accepting applications for the A.B.L.E. Project Coordinator. This full-time position is grant-funded and as such the continuation of the position is dependent upon the continued receipt of these funds. The salary is $33,397 to $37,000, based on experience, plus benefits.
The A.B.L.E. Project Coordinator shall provide overall administration and leadership for the project. Major responsibilities include program administration, planning, supervising staff, developing basic skills curriculum, and other duties as described in the overall project plan.
A Bachelor's degree in education, with a Master's degree in adult education, educational administration, or related field preferred. A minimum of two years experience in program planning, development, administration and at least five years experience in A.B.L.E. in an adult setting, adult developmental education administration, administration of basic skills programs for social service agencies or a position that has worked with/administered programs for adult disadvantaged populations is preferred. The candidate must provide leadership and direction for areas of responsibility; have excellent communication and technical skills, and have the ability to work with very little supervision.
