Sandra Golden - Director of Ohio Literacy Alliance

OLRC Start Date: April, 2001

Education: M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Development, Cleveland State University; M.A. in Psychology, Cleveland State University and Certification in Diversity Management, NTL Institute of Applied Behavioral Science, and pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Literacy and Multicultural Education, Kent State University

Sandra comes to the OLRC from the Cleveland Adult and Continuing Education program where she was an ABLE teacher and job developer. She was also a coordinator at the Cleveland Skills Career Center. Prior to joining the Cleveland ABLE program, she worked at Case Western Reserve University for 10 years in various administrative positions. For the last five years, Sandra has taught at Notre Dame College of Ohio in the teacher education and graduate programs.

Sandra currently serves as the director of the Ohio Literacy Alliance. She also coordinates the LPDC group and works with the Women and Literacy webliography. Sandra was also the project director for the OLRC GED Scholars Initiative - a project to support GED graduates attending Kent State University.
