Compacting the Database

It is recommended that you compact your databases on a regular basis and especially after a large amount of data has been entered. This should be done for both the ABLELink2009.mdb and the ABLERMDB_2009.mdb files in the ABLELink2007 folder. You compact databases by:

ABLELink2009

ABLELink2009.mdb

ABLERMDB_2009.mdb

2. Once the database opens in Access, go to the Tools menu at the top of the toolbar.

3. While in the Tools menu, select Database Utilities and from there choose Compact Database.

This will begin to automatically compact the database. Once this procedure is complete, do the same for the second database.
