Restoring up the Database


Select Restore Database from the Main Menu
Restore Procedure in 2009
  1. Click the Start button and in the window that opens, select the location of the file and backup database name to restore (i.e. ABLERMDB_2009_08012008BKUP.mdb This backup fille will be either within the C:ABLELink2009 folder or on a floppy or USB drive if you chose to change the location of the backup).  Be sure you are using your most recent backup.  All backup files will begin with the ABLERMDB and end with the BKUP.  The inside numbers are the date of the backup (ABLERMDB_2009_08122008BKUP.mdb would be a backup created on 08-01-07, August 1, 2007).
  2. Click the Open button.  This restore backup procedure will take some time depending on the size of the database, please wait for the status bar (bellow the Start button) to say Restores Database Complete.
NOTE!!  This will restore the information from the data you LAST BACKED UP! This will not restore the last known good data.  This will ONLY restore the data in the backup file.  If your last back up was 3 months ago, this will be the data you are restoring.  BACK UP REGUARLY AND OFTEN!
