The Role of the teacher coach is to build capacity to implement effective instructional practices to improve teacher achievement.


Teacher Coach Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality teaching and learning
    • Planning for instruction (lesson planning; SMARTER; adaptations)
    • Effective instruction for adults with learning disabilities
    • Assistive technology
    • Linking screening to instruction
    • Classroom accommodations
    • GED accommodations (forms; process)
    The Role of the administrator coach is to build capacity to implement systemic changes to more effectively serve adults with learning difficulties and disabilities and improve student achievement.


    Administrator Coach Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures
    • LD screening instruments
    • LD Policy and Planning Guide
    • Planning for systemic change related to LD/Special Needs
    • Program documentation and recordkeeping

  • Expectations of Peer Coaching
