Teleconferences FAQ
1. Will new staff hired after June 30 be required to view teleconferences or will they see them at the new teacher inservice?
Answer: Programs will have all three videotapes within the O-PAS series. All new hires should view these tapes independent of the new teachers inservice. The inservice agenda will not allow time for viewing all videos buy may use parts of them.
2. For teleconference training - could stipends be considered for training staff?
Answer: No. Time spent training or being trained for this purpose may be paid by regular instructional grant budget.
3. Were certificates given for teleconferences?
Answer: Yes. If you did not receive yours, contact your resource center.
4. The teleconferences were great! Does the state have plans to do more teleconferences on other topics such as goal setting in the near future?
Answer: We are considering a variety of professional development activities. The means to deliver the training will depend on what's needed. We are very glad you found the teleconferences useful. A great deal of energy was put into making them for you, as a service to the field.
