FYI, from Washington Partners:

 

Members of the NCL Board met with Chairman Kline's (R-MN) staff this morning
and learned that 2 WIA bills were going to be introduced in the House today
(Thursday): one from Rep. Foxx to remove duplication and consolidate federal
workforce programs under WIA and one from Rep. Heck concerned with
increasing business engagement in WIA by tying job training more closely
with the needs of the business community at the local level. They don't
expect markup on either of these anytime soon.
