Dear Adult Education Partners,

As most of you know, nearly 800,000 adults take the
GEDR test each year on their path to better jobs,
training, and education. Unfortunately, there are
dishonest businesses online that offer fake GEDR and
high school diplomas, taking advantage of these
well-intentioned adults.

GED Testing Service, in conjunction with ACE, has filed
a federal lawsuit to shut down a network of fraudulent
websites that are unlawfully using the GEDR trademark.
These sites mislead adult learners and award false high
school equivalency and GEDR test credentials. GED
Testing Service has developed a public relations
campaign to inform test-takers, third-party
organizations, members of the media, GED
AdministratorsT and state adult education directors
about the lawsuit. GED Testing Service went public with
the suit this morning and was featured on The TODAY
Show. You can watch the video here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/46819628#468196
28.

As part of the campaign, GED Testing Service has
created the first online repository where educators and
test-takers can report suspicious websites. Visit
www.GEDtestingservice.com/fraud to learn more and read
the press release.

Also, our public relations campaign includes a
spokesperson who personifies the hundreds of adult
learners who are scammed every day. Denise Richardson,
of Beloit, WI, sadly fell victim to one of these
fraudulent websites, but has now gone on to pass the
official GEDR test and is currently enrolled at her
local technical college. She truly has a remarkable
story and I'd like to thank the state of Wisconsin for
connecting us with Denise.

If for any reason, you are asked a question regarding
the lawsuit, please direct the inquiries to Armando
Diaz, who is the public affairs specialist at GED
Testing Service. Armando will be handling all questions
and inquires dealing with the lawsuit and I've included
his full contact information below.
