Thank you for your interest in volunteering at a local Adult Basic and Literacy Education program!

ABLE programs rely on volunteers to assist full- and part-time staff with tutoring, intake, referral, office work, technology assistance, and many other needs! Last year over 2,100 people volunteered in ABLE programs and more are needed!

You can make a difference in the life of an adult student by becoming a volunteer tutor or aide, but you can also help an ABLE program meet the needs of its students by volunteering in other ways! This site provides some general information about tutoring and also has an online search to help you find a program in your area.
