To develop comprehension skills such as cause and effect, logical development of ideas, following directions, and sequencing.
- Have the student complete forms such as a job application, a time sheet form, catalog order forms, checks, insurance claim forms, credit card application form, etc.
- Have student prepare itineraries using travel schedules.
- Have student use a map to write or dictate directions on how to get from one place to another.
- On separate strips of paper, copy each sentence of a paragraph from an article. hfix up the sentences and have students put them back in the correct order.
