Comments on Moving Forward: As an instructor, I constantly encourage students to find challenges and take risks. As an ADJUNCT instructor, I find providing challenges is an uphill battle with administration. Imagine using a text book that students hate to teach students better reading skills. Yet I have to fight to use authentic literature. My students have to buy expensive texts that we don't use so that I can continue to teach using "real" material - material that is relevant to their lives and to which they can relate. The Internet has been a blessing because it has opened the world for my students.
