LATIN AMERICA OR EUROPE!

Going to Latin America.

This is the Latin American Network Information Center located at the University of Texas, Austin. Through this site, access to 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean is available, as well as information on the following topics:

art, anthropology, economics, government, health, libraries, networks, news, publications, and tourism.

Specific information for each country is available by clicking on the country of your choice. You will then have the option of learning more about: general facts about that country; gross domestic product (GDP) from 1987 to 1993; the present government, the most recent elections, heads of state, etc.; travel and tourism; news and newsgroups.

Going to Europe

GORP European Resource Listings will appear. Underneath this heading, you will see two areas: Go to Europe and Go to GORP.

Scroll down to the section General Internet Resources.

You will see topics such as Walking Tours in Europe, European Country Maps, European Archeology, etc. Click on the highlighted words to search a topic.

If you scroll down further, you will come to Internet Resources by Country.

18 countries are listed. Click on your choice.

A variety of information is available for each country listed. Under each country, you will find traveling information, 1994 CIA World Fact Book, US State Department Travel Advisory. Specific topics vary by country. There will be information listed about different cities and regions, history, historic locations, national parks, pictures of famous places, and maps.
