Nancy was a part of the team that wrote the initial grant to fund a state literacy resource center at Kent State University. She serves as the Center's principal investigator and project administrator.

Nancy's vast professional experience includes: middle school and high school teacher, college reading and study skills instructor, K-12 administrator, adult education teacher and administrator. Nancy has recently been given the honor of Kent State University Distinguished Professor.

Nancy has 3 grown children, Katie, Mike and Matt. Her husband, Gary is Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Kent State. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
