WHAT IS AN ELECTRONIC LIST?

An electronic list also known as a list serv or mailing list is an Internet mailing list. Electronic List, mailing list and/or list serv are designed for people interested or involved in a specific topic or area. Once subscribed, any message, question, comment, or reply sent to the list is automatically forwarded to every subscriber.


WHAT ARE GROUPS, COMMUNITIES, MAILRINGS AND DISCUSSION LIST?

Groups, communities, mailrings and discussion list provide the same features as electronic list as far as communicating with one email address. However, most groups and communities also provide services for chatting, Instant messenging, sharing and posting files such as photos, articles, and/or webpages.


WHAT IS INSTANT MESSENGER (IM)?

Instant messenger programs allow users to send each other text messages and/or files in real-time. Most Instant Messenger (IM) programs also provide ways for creating your own chat room for multiple users.
