Look at the situation carefully. Figure out what it is that you are trying to solve. This will be your problem.
This may not be the most reasonable option because: 7- and 8-year-old children are usually too young to stay by themselves for long periods of time. Is there another option that is more reasonable?
The Situation
I just started a new job I need to get to work by 7:00 a.m., but my babysitter won't let me drop my 7- and 8-year-old sons off before 7:30 a.m.
What is the problem in the situation?
- Work starts too early.
- My babysitter starts too late.
- Work expectations are too high.
- My children are irresponsible and should be able to stay by themselves.
