Define Problem Look at the situation carefully. Figure out what it is that you are trying to solve. This will be your problem. This may not be the most reasonable option because: Employers have a right to set down specific start and end times which are usually a requirement of the job. Is there another option that might be more reasonable? The Situation I just started a new job I need to get to work by 7:00 a.m., but my babysitter won't let me drop my 7 and 8-year-old sons off before 7:30 a.m. What is the problem in the situation? Work starts too early. My babysitter starts too late. Work expectations are too high. My children are irresponsible and should be able to stay by themselves.
