The 1996 ThinkQuest finalist, Stamp On Black History, brings Black history to life through United States postage stamps. Along with the specific learning goals of each activity, the use of this site will allow students to become familiar with the names and contributions of many Black Americans who were significant in American history.

Click on any of these activities for help in using them in this site.

NOTE: The only people documented in this site are those Black Americans celebrated in U. S. postage stamps. This will explain why you may notice significant people, such as Langston Hughes, are not represented.

When entering a ThinkQuest site, you will often see a separate box/window on your screen. This is a disclaimer box/window. At the top left of this small box look for a tiny gray box. This is the close box. Click on it and the box/window will close.
